✍️ My Journey
I passed my 10th grade with flying colors, a proud 97%, ranking among the top 5 students in my school. Naturally, like many ambitious students in India, I set my sights on the holy grail: IIT The most prestigious engineering colleges in the country.
I gave it my all — blood, sweat, tears (and maybe a few too many late-night cups of chai), but despite my efforts, IIT remained a dream just out of reach. It was heartbreaking. For a while, it felt like everything I worked for had slipped away.
But as they say, not getting what you want is sometimes the best thing that can happen.
I didn't give up. I pursued my bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering at another great college. I made some of the best memories , lifelong friends, campus adventures, and yes, some last-minute assignment scrambles too.
I graduated with a distinction and a 9.7 CGPA, proving to myself that where you are doesn't define who you are.
Even after excelling in engineering, a small voice inside me kept whispering: "You belong in management."
So, trusting my gut, I took a leap and joined Four Star Industries as a Product Manager, choosing a management path over a traditional technical engineering job.
That gut feeling? It grew into a loud, confident "Yes, this is where you are meant to be."
I loved leading teams, shaping strategies, collaborating across departments, and solving real-world business problems. It just clicked.
After gaining meaningful work experience, I realized that to thrive further, I needed formal training that merged both technology and management.
That's when I found the Engineering Management program at Cornell University, an Ivy League dream that felt tailor-made for my aspirations.
(Plot twist: Maybe I didn’t get into IIT because God had Ivy League plans instead!)
Getting my admit from Cornell remains one of the happiest, most emotional moments of my life.
At Cornell, I studied subjects I had only dreamt about, competed in hackathons, joined entrepreneurship clubs, built an incredible network, and made friends who are now family.
It’s been a journey filled with excitement, challenges, and a lot of personal growth.
Through it all, the ups, the downs, and the "what am I even doing?" days, one song kept me going:
Taylor Swift's "You're on your own, kid." It’s my anthem, my quiet reminder that resilience, dreams, and self-belief always light the way even when the road gets rocky.
Today, I'm actively looking for full-time opportunities in the fields of Product Management, Marketing, and Data here in the US. The job hunt? Well, it's been... let's call it an emotional rollercoaster without a seatbelt but here I am, still standing, still smiling, still hopeful. If you have an opportunity, a conversation, or even a word of encouragement, I’d love to connect. I’m eager to learn, contribute, and keep growing.
Thanks for visiting my page and being part of my journey. It truly means the world. 🌟
